MISSION SUPPORT PRINCIPLES

God's stewards are God's stewards.  We are therefore called to accountability for managing all of life and life's resources for God's purposes.  This page affirms the commitments of the New Jersey Synod in Assembly in 2002 to Biblical stewardship principles.  These expectations are for consideration b each Congregation Council in the Synod.

Principle 1:  Mission Support sharing is proportional.

Principle 2:  10% is the base level of Mission Support sharing in New Jersey.

Principle 3:  Mission Support sharing is a first-fruits gift.

Principle 4:  New Jersey congregations tithe unrestricted bequests.

Principle 5:  New Jersey congregations tithe unrestricted endowment income.
