Church Musician needed for Christ Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Jersey City starting August 15, 2010. Duties include playing the piano/organ for weekly Sunday services plus holiday services. From July to September worship services begin at 10:00am. The rest of the year services are at 11:00am. The salary offered will be commensurate with experience. Please submit a resume to Pastor R. Part-time Parish Musician needed for Christ the King Lutheran Church starting June 14, 2010. This position leads our music ministry: planning music for services; playing the organ and/or piano for two services a week plus holiday services; developing and leading an adult choir and, optionally, a children’s choir; and working on special musical programs. We seek an innovative, enthusiastic person to explore different types of worship experiences with the congregation. The salary offered will be commensurate with experience. Financial Aid Director. (Timeline for fulfillment – July 2010). The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia seeks candidates for Financial Aid Director. This is a full time staff position responsible to the Dean and the Director of Student Services, within the department of Enrollment Services. Responsible for management of the student financial aid process, and also manages Federal Work Study program and assists Registrar and other department administrators. Bachelors degree in finance or accounting, minimum five years financial aid experience in an academic institution/environment preferred. Intermediate to advanced “hands-on” computer and database experience, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required, familiarity with seminary environment preferred. Part-time (16hrs/wk) Children's Minister: Holy Cross , Springfield: with overall responsibility for the direction of our ministry to children from birth through grade 6. Core responsibilities and duties include Sunday School ministry, including leading Sunday morning children's worship; recruit and train volunteer staff in support of the ministry, including Vacation Bible Camp; plan annual Children's Ministry calendar; select all ministry materials, including Sunday School curriculum. Handbell Director needed: Holy Cross, Toms River, is looking for an experienced director of handbells. We have multiple handbell choirs. Our ringers cover a wide range of ages as well as ability from beginners through some who have rung for more than twenty years. Not all ringers read music. Director of Music Ministries: Good Shepherd, Glen Rock (13-15 hours/week): Will direct Adult Choir and serve as organist. Will assist in planning worship, selecting hymns, and arranging for guest instrumentalists and soloists, and be a member of the Worship & Music Committee, as well as advisor for two youth choirs. One evening choir rehearsal/week, one traditional worship service on Sunday morning, piano accompaniment for Contemporary Service on 1st Sunday each month, and other special services during the liturgical year. Requirements include professional training and experience in organ, piano, choral music, and conducting, with an understanding of and experience in liturgy and hymnody and in working with and directing other instrumentalists. Master's Degree, AGO/Choir Master preferred. Salary negotiable according to Northern NJ Chapter AGO guidelines.
