Reset is a church initiative exploring new ways to seek and celebrate God’s active presence in the lives and worlds of young people. Reset is an active partnership between the New Jersey Synod, the Episcopal Dioceses of Newark and New Jersey, and Cross Roads Camp and Retreat Center.
What is Reset? Reset is Think Tank - Training - Community
Reset as Think Tank
We need to try new things and not be satisfied.
Led by smart people, this is a place to dig into how God is active in young people’s lives and why this matters to the church. Reset is for people who are not satisfied with the current way of doing youth ministry. Reset is about exploring and experimenting and looking for the right questions to ask.
Reset as Training
We need to learn and practice.
Its not enough to just think and talk about what’s next in youth ministry. Reset is about teaching and practicing new ways to be the church together with young people.
Reset as Community
We need to do this together.
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help. Again, if two lie together, they keep warm; but how can one keep warm alone? And though one might prevail against another, two will withstand one. A threefold cord is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4) Plus, its more fun!

Reset 2018 - cancelled
The Reset 2018 Conference (April 16-18) has been cancelled. In it's place the four partners (NJ Synod, Dioceses of Newark and New Jersey, and Cross Roads) are entering into a period of discernment, assessing ways to better strengthen and support adults engaged in youth ministry.
